Manage your Keep settings
Open Settings from the account menu. Settings are split into five sections.
| section | what you can manage |
|---|---|
| General | App size, capture defaults, and Feed display |
| Account | Usage, plan, billing, profile, password, and account access |
| Sources | Subscriptions and your private email inbox |
| Connections | Browser extensions, agents, API keys, webhooks, GitHub, X, Kindle, and mobile |
| Import & export | Imports, document uploads, and portable exports |
Use Find a setting at the top of the page when you know what you want to change. Select a result to open the right section.
Change the app size and Feed display
Open General settings to change how Keep looks and what appears in the Feed.
App size scales the full interface from 80% to 135%. You can also use
Command + Plus, Command + Minus, and Command + 0 on macOS. Use the
equivalent Control shortcuts on other systems.
Capture defaults control automatic tagging and summaries for new Items. Automatic tagging requires a paid plan.
Feed display can show or hide favicons, tags, personal notes, and collections. These switches only change the Feed layout.
Check usage and billing
Open Account settings to see your current plan and usage. The page tracks full-content Items or saved links, AI summaries, and audio transcription.
You can upgrade your plan or open the billing portal from the same page. Paid accounts can edit invoice details, view invoice history, and print an invoice or save it as a PDF.
Change your profile or account access
The Account section also lets you:
- change the name shown in Note history
- request an email address change
- send yourself a password reset link
- sign out on the current device
- delete your account and saved data
An email change takes effect after you use the confirmation link sent to the new address.
You must cancel an active paid subscription before deleting the account. Account deletion is permanent.
Manage subscriptions and email capture
Open Source settings to add or manage RSS, Hacker News, YouTube, and X article subscriptions. You can edit, pause, resume, sync, roll up, or remove a source. Removing a source does not delete the Items it already saved.
Paid accounts can create a private email inbox in the same section. The subscriptions guide covers source types and shared options. The email inbox guide covers forwarding and newsletter confirmations.
Connect browsers, agents, and services
Open Connection settings to install the browser extension or connect another service.
The following connections are available.
- Chrome and Firefox extension links
- personal and read-only API keys
- connected AI agent access
- webhook endpoints and delivery history
- GitHub star and Gist sync
- X bookmark sync
- your Kindle address
- the iOS Shortcut and mobile key
The API key guide explains each key type. The webhook guide covers events, signatures, and retries.
Import or export data
Open Import and export settings to import bookmarks, Kindle highlights, X bookmarks, Safari Reading List entries, or RSS subscriptions. Document uploads also start here.
The same section exports Notes, Items, and RSS subscriptions. The import guide and export guide cover each file type and option.
